Home Boarding FAQs
Will my dog need to have a trial visit?
Yes, we do insist that your dog has a trial stay to ensure that they are comfortable in the environment, provide some familiarity and allow us to identify any potential concerns and discuss these with you, prior to accepting a booking.
Does my dog need to be vaccinated?
Yes, your dog will need to be up to date on all of their vaccinations (including boosters) and we will need to see a copy of their vaccination card prior to arrival. In some circumstances we may be able to accept a titre certificate.
Does my dog need to be on a regular flee/worm treatment cycle?
Yes, we ask that your dog is on a regular flee/worm treatment cycle.
How much exercise will my dog receive while boarding?
Our dogs will receive a minimum of two walks per day, which will be tailored to their age and mobility. Regular garden breaks will be provided as well as mental stimulation and enrichment games.
Do you provide food?
We stock a variety of complete and nutritionally balanced foods, however if your dog is a picky eater, has allergies, or a sensitive stomach, we advise that you to provide their normal diet.
Do you offer a collection an drop off service?
Yes we can collect and return your dog at a pre-agreed time, this service does come at an additional cost.
Will my dog be boarded with those from other households?
Potentially your dog may board with those from other households, however we always ask for the customers permission to do this. All dogs will have a safe, separate space to use should they wish, all introductions will be effectively managed and interactions will be closely monitored.
Do you accept un-neutered males?
Yes, we do! We review each request individually, and may accept un-neutered males depending on our existing bookings and risk assessment.
Do you offer a discount if we have more than one dog?
Yes, we offer a 20% discount for each additional dog from the same household.
What if my dog doesn’t get along with others and prefers to be boarded on their own?
Occasionally we can help with dogs who need to be boarded alone, however during our busy periods, dogs from different households will board together. Therefore it is important that your dog is well socialised and has not shown any unprovoked aggression or reactivity.
Do I need to pay for boarding at the time of booking?
To secure your booking we will need a 20% deposit, the balance is due 7 days before drop off.
What are the drop off and collection times?
Drop off and collection times are between 08.00 – 09.30 and 18.00 – 19.30.
Do you board dogs under 12 months of age?
Yes, providing that they are well socialised. Please be aware that we do charge an increased boarding fee, for dogs under 9 months of age.
What are your prices?
We review our prices regularly to ensure we remain competitive, our prices are based upon price per day (a day being 00.01 – 23.59), please contact us for accurate rates.
